This simple system converts a table, benchtop or workmate of a multifunction workbench into a working clamping station. Making sure all your clamps and pieces of a large project are in correct alignment for glue-up can be a challenge. Speed is of the essence when using adhesives with short open times, other times it might just be the lack of a third hand. The rails hold your clamps upright and in position, so all you have to worry about is loading and assembling the parts.
Machined from Baltic birch plywood, each 760mm long rail features alternating 9.5mm wide slots for sash or parallel-jaw bar clamps and 33mm wide slots for pipe clamps. The rails provide a stable base for clamping wide projects, and the only limit on how far apart you place them is the reach of your clamps. You can use these 17.5mm thick rails freestanding on any tabletop or for improved stability, mounted in 19 or 20mm dog holes using the 4 included platform saddles.
